If you were at our 12-foot kitchen table having a coffee with us, you’d learn that we’re the parents of four hilarious kiddos, Ben loves to plant fruit trees and Brittany never met a Goodwill store she didn’t like.
Both Indiana natives, we got our start in Nashville, Ben as a full-time songwriter (eight songs on Ricky Skaggs’ Grammy-nominated album Mosaic) and Britt as a writer and editor for music magazines, enjoying chats with favorites like David Gray and Ryan Tedder before going out on her own to handle content for a large music company and craft bios for some of her favorite singer-songwriters.
We started Amplify in 2016 on a deep belief that entrepreneurs shouldn’t have to sell part of their business to gain investor insights.
Ben jumped from the investor side of the table to the entrepreneur’s side, working with Nashville favorites like The Peach Truck, Amelia’s Flowers, Ranger Station and others.
Through Amplify, we get to use Ben’s strategy brain and Britt’s communication savvy to help entrepreneurs understand their numbers so they can make space for what matters most to them.
As the parents of four kids and entrepreneurs ourselves, we understand that many of our goals are financial, sure, but often that’s not the full extent of what we want.
We’re moms and dads, neighbors and friends, trying to make a difference in our corner of the world while also wanting to show up in the ways that mean the most to us, for the people who matter most.

If you and I were having a coffee together, you’d learn that I’m married to the girl of my dreams, Sarah, and we have two boys that make our lives so much more fun. We love to be outside, go on walks, and take care of our small backyard garden. When I’m not working, you’d probably catch me drinking coffee with a C.S. Lewis book in hand.
I graduated from Samford University with a degree in Finance and quickly dove into a start-up, helping to launch a company that grew into a multimillion-dollar success. I handled all the finances, from bookkeeping and reports to payroll, driven by my passion for spreadsheets and helping business owners understand their numbers.
At Amplify, I’m an Advisor, focused on supporting the businesses we work with by producing forecasts, analyzing reports, and implementing the MAP process for our clients.
Having spent my entire career in the small business world, I know firsthand the struggles, successes, and sometimes the absolute frustrations that come with trying to understand business finances. Cash flow can be tricky, budgets can feel overwhelming, and it’s often hard to know if your company is truly profitable and healthy. My goal is to clear those clouds and bring some much-needed clarity so business owners can focus on doing what they love.
